Dua of Nuh for Humility
رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ
My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking You about something I have no knowledge of.
When and why we say it
This dua comes from the Quran and was said by Nuh, peace be upon him. In it he asks Allah to protect him from asking for something he does not really understand. You can say it when you want to be careful with your words, or when you realise you spoke about something before you knew enough.
