Dua Upon Waking Up
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
All praise is for Allah who gave us life after death, and to Him is the resurrection.
When and why we say it
Say this dua as soon as you open your eyes in the morning, before you get out of bed. It thanks Allah for giving you life again after sleep, which is a little like waking up on the Day of Resurrection. It is a lovely way to start your day feeling grateful instead of grumpy.
