Dua of gratitude (Qur'an 27:19)
Dua for Being Grateful
رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ
My Lord, grant me that I may be grateful for Your favour which You bestowed upon me and upon my parents.
When and why we say it
Say this dua when you notice something good in your life, like your home, your health, or your parents. It comes from the Quran and asks Allah to help you be truly thankful for what He has given you and your parents. Being grateful is a skill, and this dua asks Allah to help you get better at it.
Practise with reminders and stars
The Deeniyat Kids app reads each dua aloud and rewards children for saying it every day.
